Our Story, part three

NORAH (aka Little One)
In February 07, we decided that our journey with having children wasn't finished. I was no longer willing to have any more biological children, due to Will's genetic abnormality, but Jim and I felt as though we wanted to expand our family. As we shuffled through paperwork, we decided that we didn't just want to add another child to our family, but we specifically wanted to identify a child that would be considered a special needs adoption.
In May 08, we received a referral for Norah. Her "special need" is a suspected lymphatic malformation in her right arm. After all we have been through, quite manageable and really, nothing to give us much pause at all. Luckily, we managed to get her paperwork done just in time. Vietnam adoptions closed to the US as of Sept 1st, and the only adoptions allowed to proceed were those in progress with a referral.
At this point, we are waiting to travel to get her and each day we are more in love with this child that we know only by a picture. Recently, we began talking about whether or not our family is "complete" and the only thing I can say there is that time will tell. We feel called to adopt more children, but we are in no hurry to rush. First things first....we have to make it to VN and pick up our little girl.
