Well, really the only issue is that it is flying out of our pockets faster than we can blink, I guess. Jim and I are very frugal since I've chosen to stay home for the majority of the time, but the adoption has always been different. We've always believed - and still do - that we will be provided for. We leapt into the adoption on faith that God would see us through.
I still believe this, but it sure is unsettling to write checks for thousands of dollars at a time. For those who are curious, I think when all is said and done, we will spend about $10K - $15K on the adoption in the month of December. Total, we are figuring between $20-$25K. Again, we knew this and that the bulk of the cost would come at the end, but this month, along with Christmas, has left me feeling a little unsettled when I'm writing checks and pulling out the credit card at every blink.
It is funny how I can agonize over buying myself a new skillet, while at the same time, I'm running to Fed Ex to overnight just about everything that comes along these days. Expedite it? Sure. Overnight? Why not.
Less than a week to go!
